Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP)

$861.25 remaining in NAP tax credits for 2009-2010!
Call today to secure your credits!

The Bloomington Area Arts Council  has been awarded $15,690 in Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits for 2009-2010.

The BAAC is the only arts organization in the state to receive tax credits.   The Arts Council has received tax credits since the inception of the John Waldron Arts Center in 1992.

This opportunity enables you to make a donation to the BAAC and receive 50% of your contribution as a TAX CREDIT on your state income tax. If eligible, you can also take a regular deduction on your federal income tax.

Donate any amount between $100 and $40,000. For each $100 that you donate, you will pay $50 less in state taxes when you file your return.

Using contributions received through NAP, the BAAC will provide high-quality arts education classes for low-income and disabled young people at the John Waldron Arts Center, Community Kitchen, Crestmont public housing, and targeted elementary schools throughout Monroe County.  Art teachers, school counselors, social workers and others from the juvenile and criminal justice systems refer students to the programs.  We know that being involved with the arts helps kids stay on track.

To become a NAP donor, please call us at 334-3100 and we will mail you the application forms (note: there are 2 forms that need to be completed), or, download and complete the NAP  NC-10 form and the NC-10 Short form then print and mail it along with your check to the BAAC at 122 S. Walnut, Bloomington, IN 47404. Instructions are on the back of the form.
