Busman's Holiday ![]() Friday, September 1 @7pm & 10pm Live Music Location: Waldron Rose Firebay Tickets: TBA The BAAC is proud to kick off its “Emerging Artists’ Spotlight” with not one, but two performances of up-and-coming musical sensation Busman’s Holiday. Elements of rock, folk, jazz, vaudeville, and barbershop are expertly blended with audience interaction and a finely honed sense of stagecraft. The band, composed of two sets of brothers, has been paying its dues for the past few years playing anywhere and everywhere. Come on down and help usher these boys into the spotlight! Bloomington Variety Show ![]() Saturday, September 22 @7pm Variety Showcase Location: Waldron Auditorium Tickets: $10 adult/senior/student; $5 child Artists, musicians, acrobats, comedians, and more come together for an unforgettable evening of performance. Styled after a good old-fashioned variety show, this event will be fast-paced and jam-packed with talent. Produced by Bloomington Musicians and Songwriters Association Mourning Lori Thursday-Saturday, October 4-6, 11-13 @8pm Drama Location: Waldron Rose Firebay Tickets: $12 adult; $10 senior/student/child The Abrams family gathers for the funeral of
their mother, Lori. For middle son,
David, it’s particularly bad timing. He’s
recovering from a nervous breakdown after an
unpleasant divorce
from a Hollywood actress, and the prospect of being strong for his
grieving
father and sisters is difficult. Even more difficult is David’s
realization
that he alone can still see, hear, and talk to his mother.
Unsure if he is psychic or just psychotic,
David must find the courage to prepare for the hardest day of his life.
Mourning
Lori is an honest and heartfelt examination of love and loss, and
the
laughter that’s needed to keep tears at bay. Morales Holiday Squeeze Friday, November 23 @5:30-7pm Holiday Fun Make us a part of your holiday tradition on your way to the lighting of the courthouse square. Classical Guitar Society presents Duo Melis,
winners of numerous international guitar competitions as soloists and
as a duo.
Susana Prieto (from Spain) and Alexis Muzurakis (from Greece) have
collaborated
with numerous orchestras from around the world. Their wide repertoire
reaches
from baroque music to the music of Piazzolla and Ginastera. Duo Melis
is
quickly becoming in demand in the United States, and Waldron will be
one of
