His signature songwriting, voice, and melodies are framed in layered harmonies, multi-tracked guitars, and analog keyboards. The 10-song EP includes electric and acoustic versions of five new Bazan songs. Acclaimed graphic novelist, Zak Sally created new original artwork for the EP. Yeasayer - from the opening splash of spacey reverbed rainforest soup to the dignified madrigal strum on the outro—and basically an excellent indie-rock song, one rooted deep in familiar pleasures like the magic mushroom ’70s, the Elephant 6 ’90s, and the artsy-cum-epic Brooklyn/Montreal ’00s. Its jangle sounds a bit like the Edge applying his utility belt of FX to a Fairport Convention riff.
