Funding Agencies & Grant Writing Tips

Local: The following local organizations may have access to funds for arts projects

Bloomington Area Arts Council is the Regional Partner Organization for the Indiana Arts Commission in Region 8-Brown, Greene, Lawrence, Monroe, Morgan, and Owen counties. The BAAC administers block grant funds for the IAC with an annual deadline of March for application.

Bloomington Community Arts Commission exists to stimulate appreciation of the arts by all citizens of Bloomington and its surrounding area; to encourage, sponsor, and develop artistic activities and educational programs; and to foster an environment that promotes the arts and their enjoyment. Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County--has grant funds for many projects including the arts, with a quarterly deadline. Contact Shari Woodbury at 321 Fountain Sq. Bloomington, IN 47407 PH: 812-333-9016.

The American Music Center Funding Opportunities Funding opportunities for composers and performers of American Music

CEC ArtsLink is an international arts service organization. Our programs support exchange of artists and cultural managers between the United States and in Central Europe, Russia and Eurasia. ArtsLinks Projects provide support to US artists, curators, presenters, and arts organization undertaking projects in Central Europe, Russia and Eurasia.  In 2005 applications will be accepted from individual artists, curators, and non-profits working in the visual and media arts and in 2006 from those working in the performing arts. www.cecartslink.org
